Yoga Nidra: Deep Rest
Community Collaborator: Soul City Yoga Malden
Yoga Nidra is a guided practice of deep rest designed to support nervous system regulation, restoration, and embodied presence. Often described as “yogic sleep,” this practice invites the body to rest fully while awareness remains gently awake.
In this offering, participants are guided through structured relaxation, breath awareness, and subtle body sensing to help release tension and support mental and physical replenishment. The practice is trauma-informed, choice-based and accessible, with options to rest in stillness, adjust positions or step away as needed.
Yoga Nidra can be supportive for those navigating chronic stress, fatigue, pain, burnout and periods of transition. Rather than asking for effort or performance, this practice emphasizes permission, ease, and pacing. No prior yoga experience is required.
Participants are encouraged to bring whatever supports help them feel comfortable, such as blankets, pillows, or an eye covering.
