welcome...

Monia (she/they) is a yoga teacher, bodyworker, and postpartum doula currently training as a full spectrum doula & Yoga Therapist certified by IAYT. Their path began in 2015, when yoga became a foundation for self-discovery, self-advocacy, and healing. With over 1,000 hours of training and years of teaching experience, Monia integrates Katonah Yoga, Iyengar, Ashtanga, restorative practices, pranayama, mobility, and myofascial release into an approach they call Somatic Integration: a personalized blend of body awareness, movement and bodywork to support each person's unique needs.

Living with multiple chronic illnesses (endometriosis, adenomyosis,
fibromyalgia, POTs & C-PTSD) and the realities of dynamic disability, Monia
draws from their lived experience to create accessible, trauma-informed
practices that honor how bodies and emotions can shift day to day, moment
to moment. Their teaching style is playful, precise, and deeply inclusive
welcoming both seasoned practitioners and those just beginning to explore
what movement means for them.

As a postpartum doula, Monia supports new parents through the often overlooked fourth trimester, offering therapeutic yoga, bodywork, gentle
household support, and meal preparation alongside emotional care. Their work centers rest, nourishment, and self-compassion, helping families feel grounded and resourced.

Alongside weekly classes, Somatic Integration sessions, and teacher trainings, Monia offers postpartum care, workshops, and retreats. They are also a certified Katonah Yoga teacher, yoga therapist in training, and a proud Black, queer, dynamically disabled dog mom.
